While I fully believe you can't reduce a person to a few bullet points, I will try anyway
I am from Mexico City but I currently live in Germany, in the Frankfurt area, with full residency and work permits.
This is also not my first time living abroad. Life abroad has many challenges but I love multicultural environments.
I speak both Spanish and English fluently, and I am improving my German skills every day
Spanish is my mother tongue, I have a C2 proficiency in English and so far an A2 level in German.
I have a Master's
I did my M.Sc. in Game and Media Technology at the Universiteit Utrecht in The Netherlands.
and a Bachelor's degree
I studied Computer Engineering, with a focus on graphics and intelligent systems, at the Engineering Faculty in Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
I have more than 3 years of professional experience in interactive applications and game development
Most of this experience have been working in start-up companies, which I believe has made me very adaptable to change and has taught me a lot of different topics that I wouldn't have learned.
...but I have been using these tools in one way for another for much longer
During my time in both schools I used Unity and other gamedev software whenever possible.
My main technical skill is writing C# code within the Unity engine
I have worked with many, many parts of the engine along the years. In terms of other technologies, I have also used Unreal Engine. I am proficient writing in other languages as well, mainly C++ and Python.
My work has focused on VR and AR, as well as networking game code for the last few years, but I am always up to challenging myself and learning new tools
I have also done some game AI, mobile functionality(push notifications, optimization), remote content download, localization, game mechanics, and a large etc.
I had the chance to work with several interesting technologies, both in hardware...
Tools like the Microsoft Hololens 2, Meta Quest 2 and the Oculus Rift DK2 back in the day were very interesting to work with.
...and software
I have experience working with Photon for multiplayer gameplay, Niantic's Lightship AR framework, integrations with the ChatGPT API and other generative AI tools, as well as Microsoft Cognitive Services for speech and text conversion.
My absolute greatest interest is working in the intersection of AI and games
I find game AI and AI applied to games and gamedev extremely interesting, and that's where I would want my career to go eventually.
I have teaching experience and enjoy this activity a lot
I would consider this one of my strongest soft-skills as it has given me the chance to express my ideas better and I have learned a lot myself through trying to teach others.
